PHONE CARDS FOR TROOPS

The following information was released by the office of the Lieutenant Governor of Alaska:
Lt. Governor Sean Parnell honored Anthony Gustin's cell phone drive for soldiers. Gustin started an effort across the state, to collect old cell phones by joining a national program called Cell Phones for Soldiers. The proceeds (old cell phones containing valuable metals and reusable parts that can be resold) will go towards phone cards for military service members serving overseas.
The Lt. Governor encourages folks to get involved and join the effort in supporting our troops. "This is a very practical, real way we can each get involved in letting our troops know we are behind them here at home," the Lt. Governor said. Old cell phones can be dropped off at any of the state's 15 ATandT stores across the state. The national goal is to provide $1.4 million worth of phone cards.
